Check out this incredible project that is inspired by Shark Tank. Included in this large packet, you will find directions for the teacher, directions for the students, challenge sheet with an explanation hook, templates for each stage of the invention and advertisement process and a clear rubric to convey expectation. Presented in a fun and student-friendly format, students will create an invention, whether real or not, will discuss the need for the invention and then create an advertisement to hook buyers. It is intended to take five days, with clear expectations for each day, as each lesson scaffolds on the next. Students will love applying their learned concepts of supply and demand, needs and wants, and helping people make their lives easier through their inventions. One of our favorites :)

Add a level of accountability to your group work by simply infusing this student friendly assessment each time. With up to five peers, (or four if you want to including students reflecting on themselves) students will evaluate their peers in four key areas. Each area has a 1, 2, and 3 totaling a possibility of a max of 12 for each partner. These areas include participation, behavior, on task, and work. This is a great way for the students to feel responsible for their actions as well as for the teacher to gain insight into each student's contribution.

Check out this awesome template that can easily be infused in your classroom to promote critical thinking, goal setting, and reflection. This can easily be adapted for any subject, grade, age, or ability. Students set their own goal for each day. At the end of the day they either reflect based on the three emojis or on the higher level templates by elaborating with an explanation. John Hatties has ample research out there that points to the importance of students knowing where they are coming from and where they are going. Being transparent with students on the standard of assessment and grades is a great way to implement high expectations as well as set them up to be successful. This rubric includes four major components of oral fluency in any regard, whether it be an oral presentation, reading, group work or any other context. These components include expression and volume, phrasing, smoothness, and pace. Each component includes a possibility of four points totaling 16 points total. That number can then be multiplied by 6.25 to place it out of 100. This is a great way to hold your students accountable and document assessment to allow for reflection and improvement and a skill that is highly necessary and often neglected.

Check out this amazing behavior tracking form that is meant to be a progress monitoring system that adds to your pre-existing system. This is based off of a simple three color system (red, green, yellow) in which one of the colors is checked for each day. its the ability to create documentation quickly on up to 20 students, this system clearly identifies the color level for each student for 5 days. Fill out one of these a week, and you can start seeing patterns and apply intervention. Additionally, there is a key at the bottom that annotates why the student received a yellow or green such as calling out, missing homework, cheating, and so much more!

Take your behavior management to the next level by transferring the responsibility onto the students to reflect on their own conduct for the day. This simple and well-organized packet has one designated sheet for each month. Within the month you will find four weeks. The students give themselves a letter or number grade for the day and then a rationale for their grade. This kind either be private for the students or shared with teachers and parents. Check out this fun system that can take your classroom culture to the next level. Holding students accountable in the classroom and ensuring participating, is so important. Providing wait time and secondary wait time pushes students to think and talk. This sytem provides an out, or life line if students don't know the answer. They can either phone a friend, get help from a group, or get support for the teacher. These cards are phsyical and are distributed to each students (3 total) per month. They can be rewarded if they don't use their cards, but alos feel safe not knowing the answer. Directions and templates are included, but please adjust accordingly to fit into your other classroom systems and procedures! Have fun!

The first component has students make a promise for what they are going to do if someone hurts their feeling.
